Dr. Doug Olson, MD

   Hello! I'm Dr. Doug Olson, an orthopedic surgeon based out of northwest, Ohio. My interest in this specialty started from experiencing my own sports related injury at a young age, in which I was required to have multiple surgical repairs by an orthopedic surgeon. That experience showed me the impact I could have on improving someone else’s life, as my surgeon had done for me. After this I chose to become a physician/surgeon to combine my interests in science and my desire to have a career which allowed me to positively impact the lives of others.

   After graduating with honors from The Ohio State University, I attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. That is where I met my beautiful wife. I received my orthopedic training during my five year orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center.

   My goal with every patient is to find the correct diagnosis as quickly as possible and offer all of the appropriate and reasonable treatment options to each patient. Although multiple patients may have the same diagnosis, every patient is unique, and their needs are unique. I present all options and offer what may be best for each patient’s individual needs.

   Outside of treating patients, I take great pride in being a dad to my three great children
and a husband to my wonderful wife. I very much enjoy home repair projects, such as woodworking and cabinet-making. I also love anything that involves watersports or being in the water.
